Beacon effects invalidate the most common potions, but making more powerful potions could balance potions against beacons: beacons would be less powerful but would be permanent, and potions would be more powerful but temporary. I think a good way to make potions more useful would be to keep the base effects the same, but then allow certain potions to be combined or brewed together to make more powerful potions. Getting the right ingredients in the right order,Īnd using them in the right place and at the right time,įor what is most of the time a negligable effect.īasically potions should be more of a game changing feature than a small aid in some casual task your going to do later. ![]() I think this is needed, because currently to get potions the most common / normal method requires, (This also allows witches to be a more powerful and respected mob which is good because it is really rare so it should be more of a challenge) I think that potions should be revamped to actually be so effective that they may actually be useful.įor example, make it so that poison does maybe 1 heart every 1/2 of a second for 5 seconds at level 2, and 1 heart every second for 10 seconds at level 1, suddenly a potion of poison 2 is much more effective and powerfull. ![]() A lot of potions are useless individually, for example fire resistance even if your not in the nether it is always something that may come in handy, but something like poison, never used, probably never will.
